Family Owned - Lanier Construction Company, Inc. is a family-owned and operated construction enterprise. Lanier provides services to both private companies and governmental agencies (federal, state and local municipalities). Our services include expert excavation, grading, utilities, bridge and road construction.

One of the fundamental strengths of Lanier Construction Company is its leadership team. All top-level managers have the experience and expertise to supervise the actual work to be performed, and to establish and achieve long-range strategic directives.  Each leadership team member’s understanding of the operations of the entire business is integral to Lanier’s success.

Henry Lanier
President

Henry is a co-founder and became President of the company in 2012 when founder, David Lanier retired. Henry helps to fulfill the administrative and managerial responsibilities for the overall company. Henry is a graduate of North Carolina Central University and has worked as a Certified Public Accountant. He has broad experience in the field of accounting and construction management. Before joining the company, Henry worked with Coopers & Lybrand in Richmond, Virginia and with Phillip Morris-USA.

Prentice Lanier

Secretary /Treasurer

Prentice has over 22 years experience working in construction. He is a project superintendent and has managed projects ranging from an 8 million dollar highway project to several site projects at Universities and prisons.

Benjamin Lanier

Vice President

Benjamin Lanier is a co-founder of Lanier Construction Company. He completes estimates for projects, serves as a project manager and helps with the overall management of the company. He also has more than 23 years of direct construction experience. Benjamin has a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from North Carolina State University.

Sherba Lanier Allen
Business Manager / Comptroller

Sherba is the company’s business manager and comptroller. She handles many of the  company's administrative functions and has worked in construction for more than 18 years. A graduate of A&T University, Sherba oversees general office management, accounting etc and contract administration which includes signing contracts, submittals  and executing change orders  etc.
